Jade Music Fest is dedicated to supporting underrepresented Chinese-language music artists, encouraging them to express their creativity, experiences, and life stories in the way that feels most authentic to them. Their perspectives and experiences may be shared during their performances, which may touch upon sensitive or political content, or language suited for mature audiences. We kindly ask attendees to use their discretion to ensure a respectful and safe environment for all participants.

Music is like the flow of the ocean currents, bringing us from our different roots together along a shared journey. This showcase brings together four artists with Taiwanese backgrounds, coming together an ocean away. How far do our roots take us, and how far can we stretch with our mother tongues to guide us?
Chynna Lewis is a Taiwanese immigrant who creates music that reflects her soul and offers refuge to everyone who has similar experiences of trying to fit into a new language and new country.
Joyin Wang is a Hakka singer from Taiwan. Her sweet appearance and sweet voice adds layers to her creative style, as she sings in her mother tongue.
Kapa Arkieh is an Amis-Canadian who grew up in Vancouver. His hip-pop verses and versatile range highlights his exploration of his heritage and upbringing.
Theseus is an up-and-coming indie band with music that hopes to comfort this generation’s youth. Their bilingual lyrics in Mandarin and Taiwanese capture the nostalgia of childhood and hope for the future.

音樂如同海洋中的潮流，將來自不同文化根源的人們聚集在共同的旅程上。本次展演邀請四位同樣擁有台灣背景的音樂人，跨越遙遠的海洋匯聚在一起。文化的根能帶我們走多遠？母語又能帶領我們跨越多大的界限？
守維(Chynna Lewis)是來自台灣的移民，她的音樂反映內心，為努力融入新語言和文化的聽眾提供一個溫暖的居所；
王喬尹 (Joyin Wang)是台灣客家歌手，她用母語演唱充滿情感的歌曲，甜美的外表與聲音為她的創作增添層次；
高頌典(Kapa Arkieh)是在溫哥華長大的台灣阿美族加拿大人，他的嘻哈音樂和多變的曲風突顯了他在自我文化和成長背景的探索；
忒修斯是新興的獨立樂團，他們的音樂旨在撫慰年輕人，中文與台語雙語歌詞捕捉童年的懷舊和對未來的希望。

You know when a song has the right groove, the right beat, and you can’t help but nod along? That’s when music connects us, transcending cultures and language. This showcase features four artists of varying genres, with one thing in common: their songs will bring smiles to your face!
Taiwanese-American musician Scott Hsu is a math teacher-turned-musician. His mastery of a variety of instruments promises creativity that never ceases.
Genre-bending Tze of Malaysian Chinese ancestry gathers inspiration from different worlds: classical, music theatre, anime, opera, and so much more. With an ever-curious heart and clear voice, she’s diving deep into stories far and wide.
Jazzy songstress Jacq Teh grew up in a Hokkien-speaking household. Each melody she weaves comes from the heart, each note carefully wrapped with her family’s love for music.
Taiwanese Canadian Van Lefan channels her values and reflections on the lived experience into her songs. Multilingual and multidisciplinary, this is an artist whose music will resonate with you deep in your soul.

當一首歌有著合適的節奏和律動，令人情不自禁跟著點頭時，音樂在此時即超越了文化與語言，將人們連結在一起。本次展演將呈現四位不同風格的音樂人，唯一的共同點是：他們的音樂會讓你會心一笑！
台裔美國音樂人許多藝(Scott Hsu)由數學老師轉行音樂領域，精通多種樂器，創造力源源不絕；

Don’t be afraid to move your body along to the beat, featuring artists from Toronto and Vancouver. A series of performances that highlights the spectacular contrasts of Chinese-language music!
Kristin Fung is all about the groove with her funky R&B and soulful vocals. From Vancouver to Toronto and back again, she has an abundance of good vibes for everyone to share.
Dr. Holic is not afraid to write his own future. Creating songs in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, his fresh take on hip-hop will bring a fantastic energy to the crowd.
Vicki Lovelee is making waves as a Chinese Canadian pop singer whose unforgettable personality shines through in every show. She’s ready to inspire and encourage the audience with her music.
AIKO TOMI is Toronto’s hyperpop princess, never afraid to be herself on the stage and through her music. Turning her real life experiences into catchy rhythms, she can’t wait to get hype with us all!

何博士(Dr. Holic)用音樂書寫自我及未來，歌曲創作融合英文、粵語與中文，帶來新穎的嘻哈音樂，他的表演將為現場注入活力；
禕祺愛李(Vicki Lovelee)是一位加拿大華裔流行歌手，她的個性鮮明，每場表演都散發著魅力，用音樂啟發激勵著觀眾；
富愛子(AIKO TOMI)是多倫多的超流行(Hyperpop)公主，從不害怕在舞台上做自己。她把生活經歷轉為朗朗上口的音樂，讓所有人都嗨起來！

Music can help soothe our emotions and provide catharsis in between our hectic everyday lives. This showcase puts together four musicians whose works reach deep into their souls to provide comfort through soft melodies and heartfelt vocals. Take a seat and open your ears and mind; each concerto is a masterpiece to be discovered.
Daniel Lew uses music not only to share his story of overcoming personal challenges but also to offer strength to the world.
Alex See’s honest lyrics are entwined with her sweet voice, gently breaking through the audience’s walls and reminding them they are not alone.
Shinlok confesses his feelings into each song. With each verse, he’s growing into the artist he wants to be, and inviting the audience to join him on the journey.
Mirabelle Jien improvises with her flute and guitar, plucking at the heartstrings of her listeners and infusing each song with endless warmth.

好日HONI樂團 comes from Taiwan. Their brand is music that promises good days, spreading joy through their mother tongue, Hakka.
Eunice Keitan puts her Chinese-Malaysian, Colombian, and Canadian roots into her music. This diverse sound adds something refreshing to every performance.
Dawn of Freedom is a group of musicians singing for the place they used to call home, hoping to use their voices to share about the Hong Kong they love.
James Tseung’s music combines the softer sounds of melancholy and offers a soothing sound for everyone, no matter what language they speak.
Jess Leung intertwines her Chinese Canadian heritage with jazzy storytelling, encouraging listeners to embrace their true selves along with her.
handwash explores concepts of identity and diaspora through Cantonese hip-hop, forging new paths in the genre and building a community with musicians who have similar experiences.

好日樂團來自台灣，用音樂述說美好的日子，透過母語客家話傳遞喜悅；
悅基(Eunice Keitan)把她的華裔馬來西亞、哥倫比亞和加拿大文化根源融入音樂中，為每場表演增添不一樣的清新感；
自由港(Dawn of Freedom)用歌聲訴說曾經稱之為家的地方，希望透過音樂分享他們對香港的熱愛；
蔣以信(James Tseung)的音樂融合柔和的憂鬱之聲，無論觀眾說什麼語言，他的音樂都能帶來撫慰；
梁凱茵(Jess Leung)將她的華裔加拿大背景與爵士風格的敘事交織在一起，鼓勵聽眾與她一起擁抱真實的自我；
手洗(陳翰林/handwash)透過粵語嘻哈探索身份與族群流散的概念，在這個音樂類型中開闢新天地，並與擁有相似經歷的音樂家們建立社群。
