廖偉廉是一位致力於用音樂啟發世界的創作歌手。十年前，他突然左耳失聰並罹患耳鳴，這場意外徹底改變了他的人生方向，讓他踏上音樂創作的旅程。Pancouver Magazine 的 Charlie Smith 曾形容他的音樂為「帶有震撼人心嗓音的民謠歌曲」。廖偉廉以深情的歌喉和創新的吉他技巧聞名，其音樂風格融合了 Bob Dylan、Jack Johnson 和 Chris Cornell 的元素，並擅長現場即興循環演奏(live looping)，為表演增添獨特張力。
他的創作富有內省性，詞曲真摯動人。至今，廖偉廉已發行四張專輯，在加拿大巡迴演出，並在台灣進行展演。他的作品《讓天使閃耀》(Let The Angels Shine) 與《機長座位上的男人》(Man In The Captain’s Seat) 曾在加拿大廣播電臺(CBC Radio)播出。此外，他也曾受 CTV News、Nashville Music Mecca、Jade Music Festival、Exclaim!、Indie Shuffle 和 南華早報 (South China Morning Post) 等媒體報導，甚至吸引了 Ed Sheeran、Jacob Collier 和 Dan Mangan 的關注。
近年來，廖偉廉開始深入探索華語音樂，並陸續發表融合中文與粵語的創作，這段旅程不僅讓他重新連結自身文化，也讓他的音樂觸及更廣泛的聽眾。他也因此有機會與鄭宜農、樹莉莉(Serrini)和蕭秉治等亞洲知名音樂人同台演出。
Daniel Lew is a singer-songwriter with a mission to uplift the world. 10 years ago, he spontaneously went deaf in his left ear and developed tinnitus. This shifted the course of his life towards a creative path in music. “Folk music writ large with electrifying vocals” writes Charlie Smith of Pancouver Magazine. Daniel’s soulful voice lies between Bob Dylan, Jack Johnson, and Chris Cornell, with innovative guitar work and energetic live looping.
His songs are introspective and shine with honesty. He has released 4 albums, toured Canada, and showcased in Taiwan. “Let The Angels Shine” and “Man In The Captain’s Seat” have been played by CBC Radio. Daniel has been featured by CTV News, Nashville Music Mecca, Jade Music Festival, Exclaim!, Indie Shuffle, and South China Morning Post. His performances have even caught the attention of Ed Sheeran, Jacob Collier, and Dan Mangan.
Recently, he has been diving deeper into his journey with Chinese-language music, and is beginning to release works that incorporate both Mandarin and Cantonese. This journey has led him to reclaim his heritage, reach a broader audience, and share the stage with Asian superstars: Enno Cheng, Serrini, and Xiao Bing Chih.
