Fiona Black 是卡皮蘭諾大學藍岸演藝中心的創始節目總監。過去 27 年來，她製作並編排了三個大學的招牌系列：Cap Jazz Series、Cap Global Roots Series 和 Cap Speaker Series，以及「North Shore Jazz」，這是與溫哥華國際爵士音樂節合作在溫哥華北岸舉辦的系列。2023 年 3 月，Fiona 加入溫哥華民謠音樂節董事會，在極短的預定演出時間、不確定的預算和公眾信心問題的挑戰下，擔負起 2023 年溫哥華民俗音樂節的編排工作。2023 年 9 月，Fiona 受聘為溫哥華民謠音樂節的新任藝術總監。

Fiona Black is the founding Director of Programming for the BlueShore Centre for the Performing Arts at Capilano University. For the past 27 years, she has produced and programmed three of the University’s signature series, the Cap Jazz Series, Cap Global Roots Series and Cap Speaker Series plus “North Shore Jazz”, a satellite series presented on Vancouver’s North Shore in partnership with the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. In March 2023, Fiona joined the Vancouver Folk Festival Board and stepped up to program the 2023 VFMF edition under challenging circumstances of a very short time-frame to book acts, as well as budget uncertainty and issues with public confidence. In September 2023, Fiona was hired as the new Artistic Director for VFMF.
Considered a very active member of the global and jazz music industry, Fiona has served on the Capacoa board as well as having the distinction of serving as the first Canadian Board Director for the Western Arts Alliance based in Porland, Oregon. She is a long-time proud Juno judge and advisory committee member for the World Music Category. In addition, she travels extensively to international music gatherings and Festivals and is fully committed to discovering and nurturing fine artists from around the globe.
