Straw 林水草來自馬來西亞，擅長以華語、英語、馬來文創作。風格融合另類民謠、世界音樂與電子元素。除了詞曲創作，亦親自參與編曲與製作，並致力於與不同背景的音樂人合作，持續拓展跨領域的聲音對話。她的作品關注社會議題，深受多年背包旅行與跨文化生活影響，也長期參與當地邊緣群體的音樂與教育計畫。
2019 年發行首張專輯《漫游》，記錄她周遊五十國的觀察與感悟；2025 年推出第二張專輯《回 Pulang》，以身份認同和歸屬感為核心。主打歌《Home》結合三語歌詞、傳統歌謠節奏與現代編曲，榮獲 2024 年馬來西亞 Short + Sweet 藝術節歌曲類「最佳整體製作獎」和「創意卓越獎」。
曾受邀於沖繩音樂巷音樂節、喬治市藝術節和城市巨響音樂節等藝文活動演出，並展開馬來西亞、台灣、香港和澳門巡演。她相信音樂能啟發溫柔而深刻的改變，也持續思索音樂在人與環境之間的角色與可能性。
Straw Lim is a multilingual singer-songwriter from Malaysia. Her work explores diversity and social awareness through cross-cultural influences. Writing in Mandarin, English, and Malay, she is also involved in arranging, producing, and collaborating with creatives from various backgrounds.
Straw’s debut album Excursion (2019) reflected on her travels across 50 countries. Her second album, Pulang (2025), centers on identity and belonging, featuring the trilingual single “Home,” which fuses traditional rhythms with modern arrangements and won “Best Overall Production” and “Creative Excellence” at the Short+Sweet Festival Malaysia 2024.
A longtime participant in community-based music and education projects with marginalised groups, she sees music as a space for connection and quiet transformation. She has performed at Music Lane Festival Okinawa, George Town Festival, City ROARS! Festival, and toured in Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
