Caroline Ding
Caroline’s musical journey began early—she started playing piano at the age of five and wrote her first song by ten, earning recognition as a gifted musical child. Although she initially set aside her artistic path to pursue a career in research, she rediscovered her passion in 2020 and released her debut single.
Since then, Caroline has dedicated herself to creating honest, introspective music that reflects her identity and lived experiences. Music has become a bridge for her—a way to connect with others and explore the intersection of cultures. In 2023, she released her first EP, a collection of seven deeply personal songs that marked a milestone in her storytelling journey. That same year and again this year, she performed at the Jade Music Festival and Jade Music Festival Asia, where she supported local artists and embraced her cultural roots by incorporating the Chinese language into her music.
Her latest release, Death Like Autumn Leaves, features traditional Chinese instruments and elements of Peking Opera, creating a powerful fusion of Eastern and Western musical influences.
In April 2025, Caroline completed her first international tour in Taiwan, performing alongside fellow Jade Music Festival artist Daniel Lew. She is currently working on a new single—her first fully Mandarin track—blending Chinese pop with Peking Opera, set for release in July. Most recently, she joined the Granville Island Buskers Program, hoping to inspire and bring joy to both locals and tourists through spontaneous live performances.
As she continues to evolve artistically, Caroline remains committed to sharing her unique voice and stories with the world.
丁銳靈的音樂旅程從小便開始──她五歲時就開始彈鋼琴，十歲便寫下了第一首歌，因而被譽為天賦異稟的音樂童才。雖然她最初擱置了藝術之路，轉而投入研究工作，但在 2020 年，她重新發現了對音樂的熱情，並發行了首支單曲。
自那時起，丁銳靈全心投入創作真誠而內省的音樂，展現她的身份與人生經驗。音樂成為她的橋樑──一種與他人連結、探索文化交會點的方式。2023 年，她推出首張 EP，收錄七首極為個人的作品，為她的音樂敘事旅程立下里程碑。同年以及今年，她都登上了亞洲及溫哥華的 Jade Music Fest，不僅支持在地藝術家，更透過將中文融入音樂的方式擁抱自身的文化根源。
她最新的作品〈Death Like Autumn Leaves〉融入了中國傳統樂器與京劇元素，展現出東西方音樂影響的強烈融合。
2025 年 4 月，丁銳靈完成了她的首次國際巡演，於台灣與音樂人廖偉廉同台演出。她目前正在製作新單曲──這將是她的第一首全中文歌曲，融合華語流行與京劇元素，預計於 7 月發行。最近，她也加入了固蘭湖島街頭藝人計畫，希望能透過即興的現場演出啟發並帶給在地居民與遊客喜悅。
隨著藝術上的不斷進化，丁銳靈始終堅持將她獨特的聲音與故事分享給世界。
