Daniel Lew

廖偉廉

Daniel Lew is a musician with a mission to uplift the world. 10 years ago, he suddenly went deaf in his left ear. This trauma has led him to devote his life to music. His songwriting is introspective in nature, drawing on his understanding of the universe and the finite human experience. His vision is to help empower his listeners to be their most authentic self.

He has written, produced and engineered 3 albums, and has over 250 performances under his belt. His latest single, “Alive (The Ocean Song)” was featured by Daily Hive Vancouver and has amassed 181,000 views on Instagram. Produced by Braeden “Pockets” Rangno (Kimmortal), and featuring synth bass from Grammy Award winning producer/artist David Pimentel (Jon Batiste, Anderson .Paak, Mac Miller). Against all odds, he recently crossed paths with the music phenom Jacob Collier who praised his performance.

Daniel is currently writing songs for a new EP in 2024. He has a vision of increasing the representation of Asians in the music industry, and is about to lead a recording project composed of a team that is 80% Asian-Canadian. Overall, Daniel is embracing the momentum of his journey and is showing no signs of slowing down.

"I'm walking the artist's path so that I can inspire future generations of Chinese-Canadians to express themselves authentically and share their voice"
- Daniel Lew
