He received Honorable Mention in the Hakka category of the Taiwan Original Pop Music Awards for two consecutive years. In 2026, his song “When the Dragon Danced” was nominated for Best Folk Song at the InterContinental Music Awards in the United States. He was also nominated for Best Genre Music Program Host at Taiwan’s Golden Bell Awards.
In 2025, Hank released his debut Hakka-language album, On My Way Home, followed by a three-city tour across Taiwan. He has performed at major festivals including JAM JAM ASIA and River and Ocean Music Festival. In 2026, he expanded his international activities through cultural exchange programs in Singapore and Indonesia, as well as live performances in Japan.
Hank is currently working on his second album, scheduled for release in 2027. Inspired by the presence of Hakka communities around the world, the album will explore encounters and exchanges between Hakka culture and diverse communities, languages, and musical traditions.
With Hakka at the heart of his work, Hank brings a contemporary Taiwanese perspective to global conversations about language, culture, and identity.
