Classically trained on the piano since age 4, Vancouver-born Jason Qiu began composing his own songs as a teenager and spent several years performing with local bands. After a choir director told him during an audition that no one would be able to hear his voice, Jason began his journey as a solo artist, one that has also become a personal quest to rediscover his confidence.
Navigating between original songs in Chinese and English, Jason blends his classical roots with contemporary influences with heartfelt performances in an effort to bridge cultural and linguistic boundaries.
